Saw Tron Legacy at the IMAX in 3D and again it was as good as I was expecting, maybe a little better. First of all, I am always skeptical of a Disney movie, it tends to be more family oriented than I prefer. However, I did not get that as much with Tron. There was some sexually suggestive shots on the great costume curves of the body and having Daft Punk do the score was another great move by Disney and a perfect fit I think. Now as far as the 3D goes, I think that it was OK and I do not think that this movie needs to be seen in 3D, but IMAX for sure, always. I think that Avatar was far better in that respect. Have to be careful these days because not all movies are actually shot in 3D, they are just converted. Avatar was as good as it was because James Cameron spent 12 years writing the story and perfecting the art of 3D and actually shot Avatar specifically for 3D. All in all I think that the Tron sequel was done just right and definitely a must see on the big screen.
